The first consultation: getting to know you
The doctor reviews your history, medication, habits, schedule and goals. Your first visit includes initial recommendations and a request for blood tests.
You do not need to arrive with a chosen diet or all the answers. Bring previous reports and results so the doctor can assess which information is useful.
Learn without making everything about grams
The doctor’s usual approach uses guidance on food choices, preparation and meal organisation, without centring it on weighing every portion. No single standard diet is provided here for everyone to follow.
Your plan’s combinations and preparation methods are explained in consultation. Timing, hydration and preferences are reviewed individually. No particular food combination is claimed to cause weight loss regardless of how much is eaten.
Blood tests are part of the assessment
They are requested at the start of the programme, with or without medication. The aim is to review results at the following week’s appointment. The tests are tailored to the medical assessment.
You may use Askabide’s laboratory or another of your choice. Tests are not included in the monthly fee. External turnaround times depend on the laboratory.
A review every week
Reviews are a chance to discuss progress, what feels manageable and what needs adapting. Weight is one part of the consultation; habits, tolerance and everyday difficulties matter too.
Your monthly period runs date to date and includes a consultation every week. It is not a package limited to four visits. Appointments that fall on a public holiday are moved within the same week.
In person, or remotely when appropriate
If you are travelling, on holiday or unable to attend, a phone or video review can be agreed when clinically suitable. In-person procedures, such as medication administration, are arranged separately.
We do not promise a number of kilograms or a deadline for reaching a particular weight. Goals and decisions are reviewed with you.
